A true story...
Sumer Strawbree was BULLIED at school by her friends. They said that her teeth were crooked and her fingers were long and skinny.
Her self-esteem plummeted and she stopped smiling for family pictures.
Once her dad noticed, he found out that she was being bullied and had a plan. He could've told her to fight back but had a better solution.
Her dad introduced her to daily "I am" affirmations to build up her self-esteem.
Sumer Strawbree read them before school and before bed. Over time her self-esteem was restored.
Sometime later she created, 'Black, Brown & Beautiful' for other girls who either had low self-esteem or could use a self-esteem boost.
"In less than a year, 13-year-old Sumer Strawbree has independently sold over 5,000 copies of Black, Brown and Beautiful...
Inspiring over 5,000 girls across the nation!"

A kid did this! There's nothing else to say but get it! You won't be disappointed. I love everything about this. Also bought Glow Up. Just excellent.
This is such a beautiful idea! I use this with my middle school students to help them start thinking about careers. They identify so much with the characters. This should be used in all schools.
As a middle school guidance counselor, I think this is genius. This is so much more than a doctor or lawyer. I can have conversations with students using this as a resource.
I think this coloring book is so needed for young girls, to start thinking about some possible career choices and make it become a reality! 💕🙏
My 6th-grade daughter wanted to learn different languages, so why not make it a positive learning experience? She's learned so much about herself reading the affirmations and those languages too. Keep creating these books with affirmations 💓
I purchased this book for myself because I absolutely love the black and brown girl art as well as its content of affirmations. Go buy a copy it’s great!
Inspiration for my Grand Daughter Purchased this coloring book with affirmations for my granddaughter as a birthday gift, her eyes lit up when she unwrapped it. She's been coloring in the ‘Black, Brown, and Beautiful’ coloring book every day! Thank you for your hard work. ☺️

I am a social worker, working with children who have mental health problems. I use your books as interventions to improve their self-confidence and self-esteem. THEY LOVE IT! The fact that you are a child yourself making books for other children who have mental health issues, gives them hope that they too can be entrepreneurs. I wish that you can make coloring books for boys also because the brothers want to color and read the affirmation statements too. Keep it up and I will keep guying it up!
I work with children with mental health disorders, in foster care, abusive and dysfunctional environments. Your books are inspiring to them. It gives them self-esteem and self worth. Thank you for making my passion to help, easier to be realized 💙
